MSBuild task that deploys a Unit Testing XAP to an emulator or device and completes after the results have been collated.

Attribute Description Required
XapFile The path to the XAP that runs the unit tests. The project must use the Microsoft.Silverlight.Testing assembly from this project Yes
ApplicationManifest The path to the WMAppManifest.xml file that the ProductId can be extracted from Yes, if ApplicationProductId not specified
ApplicationProductId The ProductID GUID of the test project, can be retrieved from the Properties\WMAppManifest.xml Yes, if ApplicationManifest not specified
UpdateApplication If true, the application will be updated if already installed on the device; otherwise, the application will be uninstalled before installation. The default value is false No
UseEmulator If true, the application will be launched in the default emulator; otherwise, the application will be launched on the default attached device. The default value is true Must not be specified if DeviceId is specified
DeviceId (Advanced) Specifies the GUID of the device to deploy the application to. See Configuring multiple OS emulators for more information. No
PlatformId (Advanced) Specifies the GUID of the platform to deploy the application to. (Unlikely to ever be changed, even for custom DeviceId) No
Timeout (Inherited from Task) Specifies the timeout in seconds No
TreatTestFailuresAsErrors (Inherited from SL Toolkit) If true test failures will be considered errors; otherwise they will be considered warnings. The default value is false No
TestResultsFile (Inherited from SL Toolkit) The file to write the test output to (Due to a bug in the original framework, the filename is ignored). The current value is TestResults.trx in the same directory as the XAP No
DeleteLogFiles (Inherited from SL Toolkit) If true, the log file will be deleted after the task completes. The default value is false No
TagExpression (Inherited from SL Toolkit) A tag expression that filters which tests are executed No
